Who We Are

  • At Crowned Mind Mental Health, we believe psychiatric care should feel collaborative, personalized, and grounded in trust.

Every individual brings a unique story, set of experiences, and goals to treatment. Our role is to listen, understand what matters most to you, and create a plan that supports your well being in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.

Medication can be a valuable tool for some individuals, but it is never the sole focus of care. Treatment decisions are made together through open discussion, education, and thoughtful consideration of your preferences, concerns, and goals.

Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood concerns, sleep difficulties, stress, or life transitions, our goal is to provide care that helps you feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout your journey.

We strive to create a space where questions are welcomed, concerns are heard, and treatment is tailored to the individual rather than a one size fits all approach.

  • Our mission is to provide compassionate, evidence based psychiatric care that helps adults find greater clarity, balance, and confidence in their daily lives.

We are committed to delivering thoughtful care that prioritizes meaningful relationships, clinical excellence, and long term well being. Through accessible telehealth services across California, we aim to support individuals as they navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward their personal goals at their own pace.

Meet Your Provider

Cassandra Mazzoni

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

I believe mental health care should feel supportive, collaborative, and free of judgment.

My approach begins with listening. Every person has a unique story, and treatment should never be one size fits all. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, sleep concerns, stress, burnout, or major life transitions, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings, I combine evidence based care with a practical and compassionate approach. Medication can be a valuable tool for some individuals, but it is never the only option and is never forced. Together, we will discuss your goals, explore treatment options, and develop a plan that feels right for you.

I am passionate about helping adults find greater clarity, balance, and confidence in their daily lives. My focus extends beyond symptom relief. I strive to help each person build lasting wellness, strengthen resilience, and move forward with confidence.

What to Expect

  • For many people, a psychiatric evaluation is the first step toward feeling better. Just as you would visit a healthcare provider to better understand physical symptoms, a psychiatric evaluation helps us explore emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns in a thoughtful and supportive way.

During this appointment, I'll take the time to get to know you, learn about your experiences, and understand the challenges that may be affecting your daily life. There are no wrong answers and no judgment. This is a space where you can share openly and be heard.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, stress, burnout, difficulty focusing, sleep concerns, or simply feel that something isn't quite right, an evaluation can help provide clarity and direction. No concern is too big or too small when it comes to your well-being.

At Crowned Mind Mental Health, I believe that every person is unique. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health care. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or diagnoses, I take the time to understand the whole person and develop recommendations that align with your individual needs, goals, and lifestyle.

If treatment is recommended, we'll work together to create a plan that feels right for you. Medication may be one option, but it is never the only option. We'll discuss the benefits, risks, alternatives, and your personal preferences so you can make informed decisions about your care.

Most importantly, you don't have to navigate this journey alone. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, exploring options, and taking meaningful steps toward improved mental wellness.

  • Medication management is more than simply prescribing medication. It involves ongoing assessment, monitoring, and collaboration to ensure your treatment is both effective and well-tolerated. Medication management is part of your follow-up appointment if you were prescribed medication.

Every individual responds to medication differently, which is why I take the time to carefully review benefits, potential side effects, and any concerns you may have throughout treatment. I understand that starting medication can feel overwhelming, especially if you've had difficult experiences in the past.

My goal is to help you feel informed, comfortable, and confident in your treatment plan. Together, we'll regularly evaluate your progress and make adjustments when needed to support your overall mental wellness.

I believe that mental and physical health are closely connected. As part of a comprehensive approach to care, I encourage routine medical follow-up with your primary care provider while we work together to support your emotional well-being and long-term health goals.

  • Follow-up visits provide an opportunity to review progress, discuss concerns, monitor symptoms, and evaluate how your treatment plan is supporting your overall well-being. While many follow-up appointments include medication management, not all follow-up visits require medication adjustments or prescriptions. These appointments can also focus on education, treatment planning, lifestyle factors, and ongoing support.

Most follow-up visits are brief and focused, allowing us to efficiently assess progress and address any questions. When clinically appropriate, additional time may be provided to ensure concerns are thoroughly evaluated and treatment remains aligned with your individual needs.

  • Mental health treatment doesn't end after your appointment. Medication management includes ongoing support, monitoring, education, and treatment adjustments to help you reach your goals safely and effectively.

As an established patient, you'll have access to a secure patient portal where you can send non-urgent messages, request prescription refills, complete paperwork, and stay connected with your care team between visits.

  • Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes. All appointments are conducted virtually, allowing adults throughout California to access care from the comfort and privacy of home.

    What conditions are treated?
Services are available for adults experiencing concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, sleep difficulties, mood changes, OCD, and life transitions.

What if medication was prescribed by another provider or in another state? Existing medications prescribed by another provider can often be continued when clinically appropriate. During the initial evaluation, current medications, treatment history, and ongoing needs will be reviewed to determine the safest and most appropriate plan moving forward.

For controlled substances, including stimulant medications and benzodiazepines, additional verification may be required before prescribing. If the medication was prescribed outside of California, a photo of the prescription bottle showing the patient's name, medication name, dosage, and prescribing provider may be requested. Additional records may also be needed in certain situations.

For prescriptions previously filled within California, medication history can often be verified through the state's prescription monitoring program. Continuation of any medication, including controlled substances, is based on clinical assessment, medical history, verification of prior treatment, and applicable state and federal regulations.

    Is medication required?
No. Treatment recommendations are individualized, and medication is never required. Education, support, and informed decision making remain central to the treatment process.

    Are medications prescribed?
When clinically appropriate, medication may be recommended as part of a personalized treatment plan. Recommendations are based on symptoms, goals, medical history, and individual preferences.

What can be expected during the initial appointment?
The initial evaluation is a comprehensive discussion of symptoms, concerns, medical history, and treatment goals. This appointment helps establish a personalized plan tailored to individual needs.

    How long are follow-up appointments?
Most follow-up visits are brief and focused on monitoring progress, reviewing symptoms, and addressing questions or concerns. Additional time may be provided when clinically appropriate.

Do all follow-up appointments involve medication management?
No. Many follow-up visits focus on symptom monitoring, treatment planning, education, lifestyle factors, and ongoing support without requiring medication changes.

Are disability forms, FMLA paperwork, or support letters completed?
Supportive documentation may be completed when clinically appropriate and supported by the evaluation, treatment history, and professional judgment.

    Is insurance accepted?
Insurance participation may vary. Current insurance information and private pay rates are available during the scheduling process and will be updated on our website.

    Are in-person appointments available?
Services are currently provided through telehealth for adults located within California.

How can an appointment be scheduled?
Appointments may be requested over the phone or online through the messaging portal. There will also be an option to self schedule by the Fall of 2026.
